Stofest 2021

What a fantastic day! The weather was kind to us and wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves.

It takes a huge amount of organising and Stofest 2021 would not have happened without the dedication of all the volunteers and helpers.

Particular thanks to Barney and Sam Lawrence for everything to do with the music. The bands that played for free; Jon Card, Echoes, CLS, Innovator and JetBack. BSM for the stage; Paul Smith for the lighting; DD Groundworks for the generator and Lamb Engineering for their gazebos.

To Ian Huntley who very kindly provided his sheep field for the car parking and camping.

Rob Petty for arranging so many raffle prizes from local businesses, being on hand to help with setting up and taking down and to Rob and his son for their amazing efforts on car parking duties and raising over £600!

Janet Hailstone and Cheryl Hooper for the Tombola and donated prizes.

To John Derryman (BBQ and clearing up) and Julie Hampton (Tea and coffee and cakes and artistic skills)

To Paul Routledge, Mick and Jan for setting up and taking down and cleaning the BBQ’s!

To our Chairman, Derek Blake and the extended Blake family (too many to mention) for organising everything else!  BBQ, Tea, Coffee and Cakes, Gin Tent, Face Painting, Car Parking and Raffle.

We took £5005.12 and after costs £2739.42 profit for the Village Hall. We do have stock left over for future events.

Join us for an excellent breakfast cooked by Janet and Cheryl.

Children’s Play Area – Clean Up

Saturday 25th September from 1.00pm

The play area is very well used but we know it needs some work done and a tidy up. There have been some comments made about the condition of the play area. With Lockdown, bad weather and illness, it has only just been possible to put a suggested date together.

Perhaps if your children and grandchildren use the play area, you could give up a couple hours to help us tidy everything up and give the equipment a good clean? All are welcome.

We will arrange an afternoon BBQ with refreshments.

If you wish to join us and so that we have enough food please
